Diabetic foot infections are one of the leading causes of lower-limb amputation, but early podiatric intervention can prevent most amputations. At FFLC in Southwest Florida, our podiatrists specialize in identifying infections early, debriding non-healing tissue, off-loading pressure, protecting circulation, and stopping the spread of infection before it becomes limb-threatening. By combining wound care technology, biologics, and preventive strategies, we help diabetic patients stay mobile and avoid hospitalization, surgical removal of tissue, and amputation whenever possible.
At Family Foot & Leg Center (FFLC) in Southwest Florida, we use advanced wound healing technologies and limb-preservation protocols to keep patients out of the hospital and on a faster path to healing. Our podiatry team focuses on preventing infection, closing wounds efficiently, and protecting long-term mobility.
What patients gain with FFLC wound care:
β’ Faster recovery timelines with evidence-based treatment
β’ Better clinical outcomes and reduced complications
β’ Improved long-term prognosis for high-risk feet
β’ Higher quality of life with fewer hospital visits and interventions
If you need expert advanced wound care in SWFL, FFLC delivers the technology, skill, and access needed to heal and stay moving.
